Posted: 9/10/07 10:48pm PDT

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of SuperWebHost.com and Left Coast Systems Corporation by Digitally Justified Technologies Inc. (DJT Inc.). Effective immediately, SuperWebHost.com and its clients will be hosted and supported by DJT Inc.

“We're very excited about this new opportunity as it marks the largest acquisition in company history. It’s just another affirmation that we enjoy what we do and are here to stay”, said Derek Thornton, Founder of DJT Inc.

The previous owner, Glenn Miller had this to say as a farewell to the clients that he so proudly served over the past decade:

“Twelve great years have passed and it is time for me to move on to a different chapter in my life. I am pleased to announce Derek from Digitally Justified Technologies Inc. will be taking over your account and providing you with the same great service you are used to and more. When looking for a buyer I wanted to find someone local, someone that cares, a growing business, experienced and using the latest hardware and technology. This was not an easy task, but I am confident and pleased as I feel Derek's company has all those qualities.”

Goodwill, Great Success
Posted: 3/07/07 9:31am PST

First off, thanks to everyone (both old and new) who contributed to this cause. You have helped make the second season a bigger success than the first.

A special thanks goes to Dan Higgins of Canadian Tire in White Rock, BC, Canada, for providing us with some better sleeping bags than planned - at the same cost. Thanks to his generosity, we were able to purchase 95 sleeping bags this year. 70 bags rated for -7 degrees. The other 25 rated for -1 degrees.

The sleeping bags were distributed amongst 3 shelters in Downtown Vancouver - The Union Gospel Mission, The Living Room and The Lookout - all of whom were very appreciative and respectful of our hard work. The UGM mentioned that they would re-distribute the bags to their women’s and teen shelters as well as from their normal one.

We’d like to continue this fundraising event every year and appreciate everyone’s continued support. As you know, we also tried to have a Casino Night this year to raise funds but, unfortunately, we had to cancel due to lack of interest. If you have suggestions for a fundraiser that you would like to see us put on, please let us know and we’ll look into it for future years.

Bag'Em Up Casino Night
Posted: 10/19/06 11:56pm PDT

After last year’s success with such little planning/thought to the project, we’ve started early this year. Many new things have happened.

To start, we’ve registered a not-for-profit society in the name of “The DJTCares Foundation” for which we will serve all our charitable actions through. We’ve also renamed the sleeping bag project to “Bag’Em Up” (www.bagemup.com also launched in conjuction with this change).

The purpose of this post is to provide information on the main source of our fundraising this year. The Bag’Em Up Casino Night will be held on December 2, 2006 in Richmond, BC, Canada. Information about the event and ticket ordering is available at www.bagemup.com. Tickets are limited, so be sure to order yours as soon as possible.

All profits from this event will be used to acquire new sleeping bags for the homeless citizens of the Greater Vancouver area.

Third Party Uptime Statistics
Posted: 4/14/06 12:18am PDT

We have previously maintained an internal monitoring system to determine when servers (or individual services) were offline. This was, and still is, a useful tool for us.

However, we realize that we need to be accountable to you - the client - when it comes to our uptime statistics. Thus, we have introduced the ability to check our uptime statistics on our servers through a third party monitoring station.

Check out the tracking system by clicking on the server name from our server status page:

Secondary Backup System Launched
Posted: 3/16/06 10:24pm PST

We realize the importance of your data. Therefore, as an extra measure of security for your information we have implemented a secondary backup system.

Our existing backup structure included a dedicated hard drive in every server to make compressed backups of all accounts on a daily basis. The addition of our new system means that these daily backups are then copied to a completely different machine, daily, to allow us to maintain 2 copies of every compressed backup.

While we do believe that this should give an extra level of comfort to our clientele, we still strongly urge everyone to make regular backups of important data.

We look forward to any feedback that you might have for us.

69 Sleeping Bags Delivered
Posted: 2/12/06 1:23pm PST

Thanks for everyone that participated in our DJTCares.com fundraiser - it was a great success. We raised enough money to purchase 69 sleeping bags. We actually bought out the available stock at Canadian Tire of the sleeping bags that we had decided on and therefore, were forced to purchase 2 sleeping bags at a more expensive price tag in order to spend the money collected.

35 sleeping bags were delivered to The Living Room shelter in downtown Vancouver. They are near Oppenheimer park, a common hang out for homeless people, and were shocked and appreciative at the size of the donation to their organization.

The remaining 34 sleeping bags were delivered to The Union Gospel Mission in downtown Vancouver, approximately 5 blocks away from The Living Room. Their response was very much the same and were delightfully surprised when we showed up on their doorstep.

We plan on running this same fundraiser during the holiday season of 2006 and hope that you will remember the good that your generousity has done. We also plan on adding additional items to the shopping list, but these will be determined at a later date.

Thanks again for your support.

DJTCares.com Launched
Posted: 12/07/05 1:03am PST

In an attempt to give back to the community, Digitally Justified Technologies Inc. is proud to announce the launch of www.djtcares.com – a website dedicated to helping the homeless.

Through this website, we will be raising money for the purpose of buying brand new sleeping bags suited for temperatures of 1 degree Celsius (approx. 30 degrees F). We will then go out into the community and hand deliver them to individuals in the street who are not as fortunate as us to have a warm bed to snuggle into at night.
